I thought it was normal to crave bread and peanut butter.
Instead of the Standard American Diet (SAD) of fried food, chips and diet soda I ate natural foods. But, that didn't work.
My energy was low. Traveling to Thailand, Brazil and Jamaica--I learned to give up cravings and shed 53 lbs. I completed Alaska marathon at 59, climbed Colorado's Mt. Elbert (14,400 ft.) and biked New Zealand's North Island.
After 4 Amazon trips (8 weeks) I wrote Amazon Adventures
and returned again in 2014 to boat down the Amazon and to teach Controlling Diabetes at Clinica Carmen Lucia.
